Meet Wesley Tyson
Wesley Tyson is a Partner at Tyson Childress PLLC and has been with the firm since 2013. He brings more than 15 years of public accounting experience, specializing in tax compliance, tax planning, and advisory services for individuals and businesses.
Wesley is a graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University, where he earned his degree in accounting and was a member of the university’s baseball program. His background as a student-athlete helped shape the discipline, teamwork, and work ethic he brings to serving clients today.
Outside of the office, Wesley enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors, pursuits that reflect his appreciation for balance, patience, and long-term planning—values that also guide his professional approach.
Scott Childress
Scott Childress is a Partner at Tyson Childress joining the firm in 2019. Scott is a licensed CPA in North Carolina with a career spanning 25+ years. His industry experience includes public accounting, finance executive leadership for entrepreneurial businesses, and non-profit financial analysis, planning, and analysis. Scott’s current practice includes individual, business and non-profit tax, and accounting services. Scott is a graduate of UNC-Charlotte with a B.S. in Accounting.
Scott is active in the community where he has served in church leadership, as chairman and as a board member of various non-profit boards and has coached middle school and recreational basketball teams. Scott is an avid professional football and college basketball fan. Scott is married to his wife, Amanda, and together they have three children.
